Picture of the Moon

I was heading out to work when I saw the perfect photo of the moon. I had to capture it!

I took out the Coolpix P600 and zoomed all the way in. Adjusted a few setting and then start to click away.

From a distance you couldn't see much. But when I got really close, all the fin detail start to appear.

Once I took the picture, I quickly jumped into Photoshop to play around with the gamma and tweak some saturation.

These small touch up, make our moon look spectacular!

Hey guys,

Check me out on Vimeo. I have finally upload our Tiki project that we have been working on for about 3 month now. Our Team went through the whole pipeline, from concept ideas to storyboards to fleshing it out in 3D. It was a hard and exciting project. I would love to do it again!

Tiki video is rendering

Some hard core rendering going on. Pushing my computer to the limit. But in the end its going to be worth it.
So far I have been rending for 12 hours straight. It come down to about 6 min a frame. and the whole scene is 1,100 frames.

Cant wait to upload the final product.

Another adventure to the Hollywood Sign

Another adventure to the Hollywood Sign  

Hiking to The famous Hollywood sign is not easy! I descried to make the journey around mid-day and never made it down the mountain until sun set.

The hike was very exciting; with every step you got closer and closer to the Sign but gain elevation quickly.

 The best part of the trip was the Griffith Observatory. Anyone who has an interest in space and stars should defiantly go inside the observatory and check out some of the science.

I was really amazed and took some wonderful picture that I have to share.

I also made a watermark that I will put on my Photo from now on. 

I love this new Camera!

Tiki Project

Tiki Project scene 2. "cheers"

So far we are at a steady pass and really working on setting up the scene.

Our team consist of 6 artist who are located all over America. We have a fan page which will be release soon !

but for  a little taste of what I have been working on for our tiki project;

 

Tiki Character v1

Here is a look of our first version of a tiki character we are thinking about the cartoon show.

Version 1:

The character is rigged and ready to animate !  This includes the mask and all.

There will be some improve that will be made on the character. For instance we thought that the leafs shall be Ncloth to add some secondary movement.

We also are testing out different textures for the tiki mask.



I will post an update version soon...
But I really like the look and style we have so far

I will create a advertisement for a 5 star hotel in Malta .

Los Angeles in the Background

Went on a long jeep ride with a couple of buddies, we found this nice hill to climb and in the end it became a mountain. We are almost to the peak of the mountain and in the distance we saw down town LA.

In the end we got some beautiful picture and I cant wait to through them in Photoshop and touch them up.

I cant wait for my next hike !

Another small business that need a website. I decided to help out and create a website in word press. It was fun and I learnt a lot in the process. I got the hang of testing out a lot of plug in and finding a good theme was a key starting point. After I got the researching out of the way the fun and exciting part took way. I add the companies logo and match the color theme through out the website.



Finally talk to the owner and discussed some final touch.

Demo Intro

Improving my Demo Reel Intro.

I plan on bring my water droplet into my demo reel. I feel like it would tie all liquid simulation togather. 

For this I'm doing a couple of test which are shown here:

The test consist of Ncloth and sphere's. I used a couple of presets and then made a custom Ncloth. I will use this later on by make a blade of grass that is rigged with a couple of joints. The blade of grass will be animated and the Ncloth will just roll off like a water-droplet. This water droplet will be exported out into Realflow. I will then create the splash and ripples in realflow.

Building Website for Small Business

I having been doing some work for a small business and less work on the CG side. Its a small change but I quite enjoy it. The company I made the website for is called Boricuas Tattoos. They are extremely friendly and love to work in a collaboration. Check out the website at http://www.boricuastattoo.com/ . Its got gallery's of art work and a simplistic template design. I also created the company logo and business card.

Sketchfab

I found this cool link to show off your 3D models. Its called Sketchfab. Its free and you can fully control the camera to view and pan around your model. It includes bump maps and textures.

I was thinking about giving it a shot and uploading some of my simple models. It might be another way to connect with other artist, similar to turbosquid.

I let you guys know when I have uploaded something.

Piano v1

just messing around, but here a little render of my new piano. I need to still work on the texture. I just wanted to through something togather really quickly and see if it would look good. In all, this took me 2 hours to do.
