FlameThrower FumeFX

I'm getting so close to finishing my Flamethrower. This project has been my favorite but also has been the most work. I orginal was doing the flamethrower in maya with its fluid container. But I felt like the process was taking too long. So I moved over to FumeFX for maya and I found that everything was a lot quick until it came to up-res. With FumeFX its vary hard to get the flame your imaginging.

With a little research and reading the FumeFX help docs. I feel like I got a good progression. With 30 minuet a render, per frame. I feel like I need to focus on my other two project.

Overall I'm really excited to see the final result and cant wait for my final demo reel.

Rough Demo Reel_V3

Already made a few changes. But there are many more to come!

Reference to the song:

Check out his site and song. I really enjoy them and I think it fits perfectly for my demo reel.
Thank you Blocsonic for the opportunity to use your music!

Rough Demo Reel _V2

Here is my second version. I add some movement in between slides, I also adjust the music sound it eases in. With a couple other fixes here and there, I think the demo reel is almost there !

Rough Demo Reel _V1

Check out my Visual Effect Demo Reel. About to graduate from Full Sail and this will be my final. I still need to re-render couple of shots and up resolution them to HD quality.

But for now, its a rough draft and there should be a version 2 coming !

PaintBucket Test

Here is another wet map test.

I change a lot of setting when it came time to throw the paint. Viscosity is up to 10. Surface tension is 5. Density is 4000. Internal pressure is 3.0. And I added a kill speed daemons. This allow the particles to stay in the bucket as the animation was playing.

Back to work on my Demo Reel.

Here is a quick camera test.

The Camera I'm using in the scene is really nice. Its got all the function that you want, dally control, boom control, camera SHAKE.

I'm still new to the whole set-up but its even got a customize track, where the camera tracks backwards and forwards on a curve.

It still needs a lot of work.

Teeth Reference

Teeth Reference:

Here is a library of images that I took off of Google. And I think some are from ShutterStock.

But they are good reference for what I'm trying to do.

Teeth in a Glass

So far I need to add some dirtiness to the glass. Finger prints, lipstick, oils, and other stuff. But the set-up is on its way and is looking nice.

I feel like I need to work on the model now. That's the main attraction and its bring down the viewers right now.

I will export out into Zbrush and see what I can do there.

Stay close !

Time Tracking

Time tracking is so important!

I gotta keep up my time tracking up. I deiced to download a Google ape called task timer. It keeps your time and put it into a nice pie chart.

Anyway I had to start a small project to use the time tracker. So I got a couple of screen shot on a really quick project that I thought of. I might not even finish this project but I'll keep it in a folder and get back to it.

I put the time limit on this project to 4 hours and only put 1 hour into the model.

At the end of the project, I want to get a successful render of the mouth inside a glass of water. I will do the liquid simulation in Realflow and the modeling/rendering in Maya.

It should be a fun, small project.

I got a long way to go. But I might jump into Zbrush later on and fix up the model. In the next 3 hours I want to get my scene set up and ready to render. I will use Realflow to fill the glass with water. The final result will look similar to the reference image.

Wetmaps_v2

I got the work flow down. Realflow to Maya with Wet-maps. It was a lot easier then I thought!

The work flow is straight forward. I will show off the progression during the day.

Realflow Wet Maps

Im trying to finger out wet maps in realflow and then bring it back to Maya to render.

I made a plan and a Circe emitter that splash against the plane.
For now the wet maps are turn off and was trying to get a good splash and particle spread.

Check out version 1

There will be more version and at the end of the day. Wet maps should be add and working !

Demo Reel Intro

I'm getting close to finishing. But I still got to work on the timing. I need to slow down the lens flares and give more of a pause towards the end. This allows views to see my info.

Logo

Its time for a logo!

I decided to make one in Photoshop and here is my final result. It took about 45min to make the whole thing.

Intro to my Demo Reel

Just messing around in After Effect. Found some cool plug-in and I want to keep on researching but I need to get some sleep before class tomorrow.

Here a little taste of what I got:
